This is the German pack STAGE 6 for PEUGEOT 103 air cooling with crankshaft type SP!
The kit consists of the following elements:
1x Cylinder kit Peugeot 103 Stage 6 Racing 70,
1x Culasse Ø46mm Peugeot 103 Stage 6 Racing 70
1x Vilebrequin Stage 6 Peugeot 103 SP (electronic)
1x Wheels crankshaft and spi joints Peugeot 103 Stage 6 C3 cage polyamide
STAGE 6 is simple but effective! We are on a crankshaft in normal stroke 39,1mm, normal rod 76mm, full weights, specifically balanced for Ø46mm pistons of average weight. Balancing holes are not blocked, which does not pose any particular problems on the Peugeot engine, which appreciates the increases in dead volumes in the bottom crankcase when equipped with a large cylinder diameter without widening the rod!
Cylinder level, STAGE 6 offers us a cylinder with 6 intake transfers, aluminum, nicasil treated. A nice booster escapement! We found around 117° of intake diagram and 164° for the exhaust diagram. These are relatively low diagrams that will offer maximum power speeds around 8500 revolutions with a well tuned exhaust! The advantage of having moderate diagrams but a very wide exhaust is to offer a good level of power by keeping a very nice level of torque! It is recommended to carbide in 19mm or 21mm. The piston is single-segment. STAGE 6 could have equipped it with a bi-segment with such diagrams, but the preparers will be happy to be able to increase the diagrams with a single-segment piston that will leave maximum freedom to high speed! We especially enjoyed the "new" architecture of the cylinder. We regretted having one base joint in the cylinder! It is imperative to align your engine crankcases with the cylinder base to fully enjoy the performance. We recommend a game 0 cut of 0.20mm, use of SP98 and 2.5% MOTUL 800 ROAD. This cylinder has no hole to place a decompressor.
The head not having an incoming plot, you can without problem increase your diagrams with a head MVT and a 1mm base hold! The head STAGE 6 provided offers a relatively high compression rate, we will take specific steps to update this page! We recommend a squish of 0.9mm to 1.1mm and we recommend that you calculate your compression rate when mounting. This head has a well-worked hemispherically shaped chamber smooth finish. We bitterly regret that the head is for short candle cap! There is no location for a decompressor!
STAGE 6 crowns the set by providing a spi joint set with its polyamide cage bearings!
