Complete air-cooled engine delivered assembled and ready to run! We have equipped this engine with original-type crankcases and a TEKNIX crankshaft. For intake/carburetion: CGN reed valves with fiber reeds matched to the engine, 15mm intake manifold for straight or angled SHA mounting (you can remove parts from the pack to add other parts to your cart, but keep the screws that have the correct quantity and dimensions).
It is equipped with a SHA 15/15 carburetor with a modified air filter and therefore pre-set with a cable choke!
Warning, this is not a genuine DELLORTO carburetor!
For the ignition part, we install a MORIYAMA electronic ignition set to racing at 1.5mm before TDC, it is a low-cost MORIYAMA type ignition, it is not as reliable as the real MORIYAMA also sold on the site (which you can add to your cart by removing the MORIYAMA type from the pack).
For the top end of the engine, we chose the AIRSAL T4 with its TEKNIX cylinder head.
The engine is supplied without a spark plug; in the basic configuration, we recommend a B8HS for adjustments and break-in, then a BR8HIX.
Technical advice:
- Engine needs to be broken in for 500km.
- Use 100% synthetic quality oil at 2.5% in SP98 or SP100.
- To be fitted with the original motor spring (not supplied) and the original spring paste (supplied).
- To be used with an original or racing CDI unit (not supplied)
- To be fitted with a free-flowing original exhaust or a sports exhaust (highly recommended, not supplied).
- Remember to use a good quality belt in good condition! (not supplied)
As an option, we offer a Stage 1 preparation for the cylinder and piston. This preparation involves modifying the exhaust port by increasing the port timing and improving the flow, thus increasing the cylinder's performance. Skirt modifications are also included in this service. Please allow a little extra time for this preparation.
