This is the radical and relatively inexpensive solution to fix all ignition problems on your PEUGEOT 103 with electronic ignition, or to convert your 103 with points ignition to one with electronic ignition. The MORIYAMA-type ignition system from the MBK 51 remains more efficient than the PEUGEOT 103's electronic ignition!
Ignition timing advice :
-On a PEUGEOT 103 3-port engine: 1.42mm or 19.6° (stock or lightly modified engine), 1.32mm or 18.92° (modified engine, mid-range RPM), 1.13mm or 17.5° (high-RPM engine). On an air-cooled ENDURANCE racing engine, we recommend 1.04mm or 16.75° of advance before top dead center (TDC).
Please note, the ignition nut is not included with the ignition.
*Warning: the higher the ignition advance and compression ratio, the more careful you need to be to use high octane fuel and not add too much oil to avoid lowering the octane rating!
A solid internal rotor with +12v (light, water pump, etc.), with variable advance available in small electronic cone and large breaker cone... What more could you ask for?
