The 4-stroke engine requires precision in your variator settings, remember that the variator replaces the gearbox. If your engine gives 13hp at 12,500 revolutions / minute as an example, it will give less power at 11,000 revolutions / minute and less power also at 13,500 when over-revving. This is why it is important to find the perfect grammage which will allow the right speed to be used throughout the opening of the variator. This rise must be longitudinal and without burrs. A roller that is too light will send you to overspeed and will not allow your variator to close properly, on the contrary, a roller that is too heavy will close the variator too quickly, and you will not be able to reach the power speed.
