Even the Vespa PX, the most classic of scooters, sometimes needs a little liveliness. And on a classic two-stroke engine, the most logical and simple modification you can make is to add an expansion exhaust. Here then is that the Malossi technicians have designed a brand new exhaust system specially designed for our dear old Vespa PX, with the objective of making it immediately more efficient and pleasant to drive without however distorting the typical line of the Piaggio scooter.
Looks like a classic exhaust but all the novelties and improvements are hidden. To get the best out of this expansion and to allow it to be fitted on all Vespas, the new manifold has been designed to be able to adapt to all thermal groups currently on the market for this Vespa, from the original cylinder to the most efficient cylinder of the Malossi range.
And it is precisely the manifold which, thanks to its shape, best connects the flow of exhaust gases from the cylinder to the body of the pot, thus guaranteeing a significant improvement in performance. The exhaust, with its characteristic expanding shape, has been specially designed to guarantee maximum performance with flexibility of use. From minimum speed to maximum engine speed, the exhaust gas suction effect of this component is optimized.
Finally, we still have our trusty exhaust. This component, in fact, was designed with the precise aim of being identical to the original so as to remain extremely discreet. However, two chambers have been created inside, separated by a partition in order to maximize the correct expansion of the exhaust gases as much as possible while reducing the sound emission of the exhaust as much as possible.
