Polini updates the ECM “ENGINE CONTROL MODULE” for Vespa and Liberty 50 Euro 5 models from 2025 onwards, featuring a TFT display. Upgradeable unit with stiffer valve springs!
Replacing the housing is essential for any type of adjustment.
Studied and refined thanks to feedback from the Polini racing department after several tests and trials, the improved Polini unit allows the choice between 3 different maps, thus giving the end user the possibility to personalize their own vehicle more and more.
The Polini electronic control unit (ECM) manages the engine and includes associated sensors, actuators, fuel injection, ignition, and auxiliary engine components. The Polini ECM enhances vehicle performance through the use of a state-of-the-art microprocessor, working in synergy with hardware specifically designed for this engine. It is a plug-and-play unit. Installation is quick and easy: simply disconnect the original control unit and connect the Polini ECM.
The mapping selector is easy to use and comes pre-installed with 3 mappings configured:
Mapping 1 – (Original Mapping) – designed to return the vehicle to its original configuration, with a stock engine, without any increase in engine speed. This function cannot be applied with a larger cylinder and valve springs.
Optional parts not required: Polini HI-Speed variator with 5.8g rollers and Polini exhaust.
Mapping 2 – increases engine speed to 10,000 RPM, keeping the engine completely stock. With this setting, installing the supplied valve springs is not mandatory, although it is recommended.
Optional parts not required: Polini HI-Speed variator with 5.3g rollers, Polini exhaust and Polini enlarged air filter sleeve (on models where installation is planned).
Mappa 3 – it allows you to reach a top speed of 70/75 km/h. With a small additional step, it's possible to achieve maximum performance. The basis for this step is still the 49mm diameter cylinder kit, which increases the engine to approximately 80cc (140.0236), with Polini longer gear ratios (202.1429) required for optimal results.
Even with this mapping it is advisable to combine the Polini variator (241.737) and the Polini exhaust (190.0079).
WARNING: To use this mapping, you must replace the original valve springs with those included in the packaging.
