Calorstat (thermostat) TEKNIX for motorcycle 50cc DERBI Euro 1, 2, 3 & 4

Ideal in case of breakage of your original calorstat or if you do not have one (removed by the mechanic or former owner) and you want to put one back. This TEKNIX calorstat is of good quality. On large configurations, it should generally be removed to facilitate the passage of the liquid. But winter is strongly discouraged.



The motorcycle will not heat up properly and wear may occur faster than expected! The calorstat function works like this: it closes the inlet as long as the liquid is not hot in the engine… It opens as soon as it is at the right temperature. This allows the engine to be at the right temperature and avoids having to heat the motorcycle too long.Generally, some do not recommend leaving it because it can cause problems (seizure due to wear). We recommend to leave the calorstat (except on very large configuration and again…) but to change it every 1 year or even 2 years! As the mechanical booklets advise.
