A variator designed by an enthusiast, for performance enthusiasts! Unlike other manufacturers, Clément BOUCHET didn't just copy an existing product; he clearly reinvented a racing variator!
In order to reduce the overall weight despite a significant increase in the range (108mm compared to 100mm for most sport variators), CBE has fitted reinforced alloy cheeks! These cheeks obviously need to be replaced when they wear out (like a piston in a cylinder).
This is a lightweight, linear dimmer with a nice range (108mm)!
One must always be careful, and even more so with an aluminum variator, by not trying to overtighten the motor spring, which has two effects:
-increased wear on the cheeks, crankshaft bearings, or belts
-the transformation of power into calories of heat / into wear
