This kit is highly regarded for its robustness and excellent power-to-torque ratio. This liquid-cooled, cast iron POLINI features a 46mm diameter, two-ring piston with a 10mm pin, and a high-quality cast iron cylinder with seven oval intake and exhaust ports.
Its port timings and two-ring piston ensure good torque, preventing the engine from feeling sluggish at low RPMs. You'll still likely be surprised by just how powerful this top-end engine is at high RPMs.
POLINI advertises a power output of 6.8 HP at 7500 rpm. However, with proper equipment (carburetion, variator, intake, exhaust, etc.), it's easily possible to get 9 to 10 HP.
You can install it with a carburetor of 17.5 to 21mm maximum. A radiator and possibly a water pump will be required!
As an option, we offer a Stage 1 preparation. This preparation involves modifying the exhaust port by increasing the port timing and improving the flow, thus increasing cylinder performance. Skirt modifications are also included in this service. Please allow a little extra time for this preparation.
