The 4-stroke engine requires precision in your variator settings, remember that the variator replaces the gearbox. If your engine gives as an example 13hp at 12,500 revolutions / minute, it will give less power at 11,000 revolutions / minute and less power also at 13,500 in overspeed. This is why it is important to find the perfect grammage which will allow the right speed to be used throughout the opening of the variator. This rise must be longitudinal and without burrs. A roller that is too light will send you to overspeed and will not allow your variator to close properly, on the contrary, a too heavy roller will close the variator too quickly, and you will not be able to reach the power speed.
