The famous kit Simonini 90cc. True rough of performances and very a good base for the preparers. With its race of 46mm and its diameter piston of 50mm it leaves 90,32cc pure couple… Its cylinder is out of aluminium treated nykasil (enough fragile it should be acknowledged, guy with the preparers little meticulous person),
Simonini chose the diameter of 50mm for its high engine, which agrees very well with the race 46mm, this cylinder has an exhaust has booster rockets what makes it possible to couple performances and solidity. The diagrams are low enough for such a unit, you will be able to push back them has 130° for the admission and 193°ou more for the exhaust.
The piston is a top-of-the-range model VERTEX with graphite treatment (black treatment) anti-wear. The piston is obviously in mono segment in order to allow very high modes, it lays out side greasing devices and it was passed in axis of 14mm (against 12mm of origin) for more solidity! The cylinder head is a model high compression with simple polished truncated combustion chamber out of aluminium, we would have strongly preferred a model Bi-part bus this maximum kit with the friction which the race 46mm causes has a large tendency to heating (not overheating). On the level of the crankshaft, SIMONINI thus created a race 46mm (against 39,2mm of origin) in order to allow a époustouflant couple and to leave 90cc real.
This crankshaft is relatively well balanced and has a rod of 90mm for less generating sufferings with the piston, indeed, plus the rod is short, plus the piston will have an early wear. SIMONINI could have passed its silk crankshaft large in order to avoid the vibrations and to support solidity… can be in a forthcoming version. SIMONINI even thought has to add reinforced pins longer than those of origins. With such a kit, what to make take off the bench has more 20cv with a époustouflant couple.
We advise at least to accompany this kit: adapted muffler, bearings play C3 cage reinforced silks normal, large carburation 24 minimum, clutch of competition, cold spark plug, good cooling.
For the assembly this maximum kit, you tighten obliged to carry out following machining in order to pass the big end. Only the casings must be modified, in aucuns case the big end (crank pin) of the crankshaft. Diagram:
